Hello Choir!

21 days to SYF! O.O

Anyway, I just wanted to say
RELAX! :D
(Green is a relaxing colour!)

I think some of us, or many of us in fact are getting quite stressed up and worried about our progress! I would first want to apologise if any of you feel that I've been too mean/unaccommodating or anything like that, do let me know and I will see what I can do about it.

In any case, dont worry too much! I ~~think~~ Know we can do this, we just need to work hard, think smart and enjoy ourselves! I have confidence in us (: At the very end we should re-examine our motivation and purpose of joining choir, and whether or not we're happy doing what we are doing now!

I can share with you why I joined choir and what I hope to achieve out of this! For me, I joined choir because I enjoy singing and making music together with a group of people as passionate about choral music as I am, and of course to have fun, socialise, make friends and forge bonds! I think I do enjoy myself in choir overall. Practices may be increasing and we may be working on the same material over and over again, but I get satisfaction knowing that something has improved and that this phrase/line/song has more meaning than it did before [:

SYF is a competition, but ultimately we are competing against ourselves, and not so much against other people! We're against the fear of going onstage, fear of making a mistake, and how much that fear and all other factors that affect OUR performance is going to determine how well, or how badly we will perform on that stage. On SYF day, we want to show people, and show ourselves, the best performance ever, the best songs sung, and the best ever music experience yet. Remember, its all about making music and enjoying the process! So lets not let our fear get in our way, overcome us and affect our music, because that would be a huge waste, dont you think? (Of course its easier said than done, so thats why we should start practicing now!)

So choir, do think about what you're doing and what you want to do! I believe it will motivate us and drive us to do our very best on May 5th!

Keep it up, persevere and work towards what You wish you achieve!
Lets start to make music okay?
